We have a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath in portofino building which is 1 2nd st, jersey city, NJ. The place is right by the water and equi-distant between newport station and Exchange place. We got the place brand new last year, and it has hardwood floors and is still shining new (we took great care of it :). We have a balcony and a living toom with the entire view of manhattan skyline :) We get the whole midtown view from each of our bedrooms as well :) I'm not a romantic but we do love our apartment A little about the place: Its on the 15th floor, in this highrise building called portofino. The building has a 24-hr concierge desk, and amenities such as access to the pool, gym, and TV room is included in the rent. The building has Direct TV w/ HBO and internet which is also included in the rent. Water, gas etc is all included. Washer/Dryer in Unit. What we pay for is electricity bill which is split 3 ways between us :) $1100 per month with 1.5 months security deposit. I am trying to negotiate the rent a little, since everywhere else has become cheaper, but that will be easier once we have another roommate committed. The kitchen is well equipped, and the common space is fairly furnished, but will behappy to redesign if you'd like :) About your room: You will have your own room, no share. The half bath is entirely yours as well, what you will share would be the shower with the roommate described below :) About your roommates: I am in my mid twenties, working, friendly and neat :) The other roomate is from Canada, and is a trainer for a healthcare company, and is always travelling.
